WW - Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer, ref 1016, circa 1970s, 36mm x 44mm to lug tips, 20mm lug width, original stainless steel screw back Oyster case, vintage rubber strap, black matte dial with tritium painted indices, 25J cal 1560, s# worn off from many years of continuous wear with a bracelet, the number 516653 is hand scribed into the side of the case, triple signed, inside back ref 1016. Includes a letter from the original owner detailing from where he acquired it and how long he wore it.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, hardly any oxide, brass showing on plates' highest edges; nearly flawless dial; nearly mint hands; polished case shows light wear, wear to backs and inside of lugs from a bracelet; original signed crown shows very little wear, good threads; good crystal; resealed for auction.
